Abstract:
Through analysing the forming mechnism of Square cups.it is shown that when a Square cup is formed, the displacement-Velocity in the corner forming region is different from that in the side region. So that the induced shear stress can reduce the axial-tenside-stress in the corner forming region. As a result of the drawing produced in the Side forming region, the forming force in the corner of forming region is reduced. Thereby. the cause is reyealed why the forming limit in a square cup is higher than that in a round cup. which is verified in the experiment.
