Abstract:

Through the establishment of a potential flow field and the analogy theory, the blank contour,the criterion of using circular blank for irregular cups. the flow lines and slip lines are ascertained. By the introduction of an idea about flow band. the distribution of tensile stress along the irregular die throat. and hence the drawing force and draw ratio are analyzed and evaluated,and the approximate limiting draw ratio determined. The blank contour. especially the flow lines, result in. good conformity with the experiments. other results also give a fairly good reference to the farther investigation of this subject.
