Abstract:
With primary material of spring steel band 50CrVA,automotive horn diaphragms were made by punching-blanking process and shallow drawing process. The finite-element code ANSYS/LS-DYNA was applied to simulate the drawing process and springback of automotive horn diaphragm by combining explicit and implicit algorithm. The results show that the least springback occurs on the top plane of diaphragm,and the largest springback occurs in the plane flange. The springback of pyramidal face increases with the increase of distance to the constrained points. Moreover,the springback value decreases with the increase of diaphragm thickness. Therefore,springback compensation can be applied to the sizes of forming die based on the results,and precision diaphragm can be manufactured to meet the production demand.
