Abstract:
The driving style of common inductive motor and fly wheel does not match the loads of periodical big shot in forging and stamping, resulting to low efficiency and high energy consumption.Every energy consumption point for crank presses was analyzed and several approaches to save energy were put forward.AC servo driving can not only improve the working characteristics of the presses, but also is the effective approach to solve the problem of high energy consumption as well.Taking a deep drawing process as an example, the energy consumption comparison between common and servo crank presses was made and the result shows that the servo press could save energy by 46.3%.Experiments were conducted for testing energy consumption on both common and servo crank presses.Under the experimental condition, servo press saved energy by 60% and 69% for continuous and single stroke respectively.
