Abstract:
The integrally hydrobulging process of spherical vessels is a new technology for manufacturing spherical vessels. In the present paper non-linear finite element method is used to simulate the hydrobulging process of a stainless polyhedral shell with a soccer stucture, and the variational process of the shell displacements is analysed, and also is compared with the experimental results. It's proved that the FEM program simulates the hydrobulging process of the shell very well, and the FEM results are in good agreement with the experiments.
