Abstract:
Liquid extrusion, Like Liquid forging, is Characterized by the combination of the two processes of solidifying and mechanical forming. On the basis of the research achievements in liquid forging, the authors, in the paper, have thoroughly analysed the mechanical characteristics of the liquid extrusion process, including the characteristics of the solidifying of the flowing molten metal, the behavior of the plastic flow of the solidified matal, and the metal forming mechanics reflected by the ralationship between the extrusion pressure and the stroke of the punch. These analyses lay a theoretic foundation for the establishment and application of the liquid extrusion process.
