Abstract:
Based on the envelope line in the terminal plane,the three-dimension model of twin-screw adopted in the preparation of metal semi-solid slurry was studied using the software code Pro/E.The twin-screw rotated in the same direction,and had the ability of self-cleaning,which was the advantage compared to those normal twin-screws.The twin-screw was assembled in the phase difference equals to 90°,and from the schematic plan,the space between them was very uniform.All these features will provide the shearing and mixing ability to the semi-solid slurry,which is beneficial to the glomeration of crystal grain.This work laid a solid foundation for fabricating the device and numerical simulation of metal semi-solid slurry preparation.
