Abstract:
The flow stress-strain curves of TB10 titanium alloy were obtained using a hot simulated method,and the material model was built by the software DEFORM-3D.Based on rigid-plastic finite element method,backward extrusion process of TB10 titanium alloy cylinder was simulated numerically.The load-stroke curve of extrusion process and the distribution of temperature,velocity,stress and strain of the billet were analyzed.The error sources during simulation were also analyzed.The results show that the extrusion load is stable and the metal flow velocity of the cylindrical wall is equally distributed under a low friction factor condition(m=0.1).But in some local areas,uneven deformation and stress concentration may lead to cracks formation.
