Abstract:
There are a lot of holes on the plates of progressive die which are used to mount parts or structural assembles,such as punches,die inserts,pins,screws or guide pillar and cushions,pilot assemble,lifter assemble and etc.The holes have diverse structure and the number is large.Furthermore,there is relevance among holes.The classification of plate holes in progressive die design according to their structural type and relation between the correlated parts and the plate holes were given.A descriptive model was set up.The library feature technology was adopted to develop the module for designing the plate holes,which could improve the efficiency and shorten the design time.
