Abstract:
Because the surface coating of the aluminum-coated steel is Al-Fe-Si series inter-metallic compound that contains Si with the percentage of 5%-11%,it has a good heat tolerance,heat reflective performance and anticorrosion. Thus it is widely used in the manufacturing of the heat preservation parts of car. But once the aluminum-coated steel thickness is between 20 μm and 0.5 mm,the drawing properties are lowered while the proportion between coating thickness and the whole sheet steel thickness increase,and wrinkle and fracture appear in stamping. Aiming at the problem,a car-muffler heat insulation-cover was selected as the researching object and stamping simulation was applied on it. The cause of the quality defect was analyzed and predicted. Based on this,the main parameters influencing the stamping quality were optimized. Result shows that stamping defects are controlled and the product quality is greatly increased.
