Abstract:

In view of the abominable working environment of 300 MN die forging hydraulic press, the limitation of traditional stress monitoring and protecting method which was based on resistance strain gauges was analyzed. Two novel column stress monitoring and protecting methods (string mode and displacement-measuring mode) were put forward according to the system needs. The principle and the structure of these two systems were introduced. The merits and shortcomings of them were analyzed. Finally, after comparison, with the application of displacement-measuring mode, the optimization program of main columns stress monitoring and protecting system based on eddy-current displacement sensor was selected. Also, the precision of the system was analyzed. The result of the experimental research shows that the sensor of the system has a precision of 1μm. And the linearity of the system is less than 1%. It can substitute the traditional stress detecting methods and be applied in column stress detecting system of the hydraulic press in specific working condition.
