Abstract:
An initial design system was presented based on processing and database knowledge for the purpose of solving the problems which were time-consuming, labor-consuming and imprecision in traditional styles, using Access 2000 and Visual Basic 6.0 as a back platform and an object-oriented software development respectively. With the system, the forming processes could be established so quickly and conveniently that moulding design for production was achieved timely. In addition, it was found that the system developed had excellent performance expecially for higher precision and shorten manufacturing cycle under the condition that the system integrates forming technology, strength checking, bending mould and the defects enquiring into one. The results also show that users can update the materials information constantly so as to offer efficient guidance to practice.
