Abstract:
Flat-type CWR method was contrived for precise forming cam shaft. Shaping principle of cam forming by CWR was introduced. FEM software DEFORM-3D was selected to simulate the process of cam forming by CWR and ideal simulated cam shape was obtained. The strain distribution during forming process was analyzed and the flowing manner of metal was axial screw type. Simulation result indicates that a cam shaft formed by flat-type CWR is feasible.
