Abstract:
The technological property of automotive structural part, stamping process, technological scheme and layout design of the part were analyzed in detail. The structure of the die, main design points and manufacture process of the key components of the die were introduced. The large multi-position precision progressive die was designed and manufactured. Starting from optimizing layout, the multi-position progressive die replaced the original single-process dies and increased the work efficiency over by 3.5 times and reduced work intensity. The special stamping processes were applied to ensure the location precision of the planes and hole in the planes(±0.3mm), and right angle precision (below 0.6°). Manufacturing precision of mold reached 0.002mm, which improved die life significantly. It is proved that the die structure is reasonable and able to ensure the product quality. The design has reference value to the design of the progressive dies for similar parts.
