Abstract:
Using non-linear FEM software Marc, numerical analysis of stretching limit for Al-Mg-Si based alloy auto body sheets was carried out by means of making up virtual stretching facilities with rigid hemispherical punch and various strain paths, strains disseminating behaviors were analyzed and summarized under "tension-tension" and "tension-compression" strain states, and one method was proposed, i.e., in order to determine critical point of stretching instability, the "stain concentration" geometrical phenomenon might be used as criterion under "tension-tension" strain state and "branch destabilization" physical phenomenon might be used as criterion under "tension-compression" strain state.
