Abstract:
Base frame is the key loading structure of the continuous extrusion machine,the whole approach to optimize the base frame based on ANSYS optimize theory and software was introduced.The 3D model of base frame was constructed and the simulation stress results was analyzed.Additionally it was verified by tension measuring on the running machine;a modified design was introduced and then optimized by ANSYS optimal process.The optimal light-weight structure was fully evaluated and proved to be successful.This design will improve the machine performance and base frame strength,at the same time,reduce the weight and cost.New design guidance was also built on this research for further reference.
