Abstract:
For the complex distortion and the numerous influence factors in single point incremental forming process of sheet metal,the process parameter selection is the key to improve forming quality and forming efficiency.Single point incremenal forming process was studied by finite element method,and the distribution of stress and the changing tendency of thickness were analyzed,through the numerical simulation on different amount of feed and forming paths,the effect of forming path and feed on forming result were obtained.The simulated results indicate that the maximum stress and the minimum thickness of cone parts occur at the bottom surface,and the spiral tool path can improve the forming ability and the forming quality.Incremental test shows that the numerical simulation results agree with the experimental results.
