Abstract:
In consideration of necking method of thin-wall parts with variable diameter under viscous medium outer pressure,the pressure field distribution in the viscous medium,the geometrical shape and the stress and strain variation in the specimen were analyzed by theoretical method and finite element method,which were compared with experimental results.Research results show that the viscous medium can give rise to the nonuniform pressure distribution and adapt to variation of wrinkles of the buckling specimen,which eliminates the wrinkles under high pressure.The maximum reduction rate of the specimen wall-thickness is 4.3%,and the deformation evolves from the compression mode to the tension mode.
