Abstract:
In NC rotary-draw bending of thin-wall tube,if the bending radius is small excessively then the collision will happen between mandrel balls,but the minimum bending radius is confined by structure characteristic and joint fashion.According to common structure characteristic of mandrel and the interference and collision position of mandrel ball,the analysis-model of minimum bending radius was established in terms of the mandrel-structure parameters and the analysis of mandrel movement.And Matlab was adopted to solve the complex equation to find the minimum bending radius.It provides the basic theory for mandrel design.
