Abstract:
Magnetic pulse joining is basically a solid state welding technique based on the electromagnetic forming technology.The technique has some peculiar advantages on the metallurgical joining of dissimilar metal materials,which are hard to be welded through traditional melt welding methods.The principle and characteristics of magnetic pulse joining were described;the researches on joint strength and microstructure,the applications and equipment of magnetic pulse joining abroad and inland were focused.The significance to develop the technology was presented.
