Abstract:

Lubricants can improve die life and molding rate of products in the process of warm extrusion,but the effects of different lubricants are unlike.The experimental data of 40Cr steel and 1Cr18Ni9Ti steel was analyzed.The results show that the friction factors of diversified lubricants are lower and the lubricating effects are better when warm extrusion works below 400℃.However,the friction factors of diversified lubricants increase quickly and the lubricating effects drop above 400℃.The friction factors of graphite system still keep lower,but the friction factor of lead monoxide is higher.In the area of deformation resistance,MoS2 lubricant is relativly steady,and graphite boron monoxide lubricant is the second,while the extrusion deformation resistance of lead monoxide is of the most at 400~600℃.
