Abstract:
Electromagnetic forming can effectively improve the formability of light-alloy,the configuration of the coil is one of the most important factors that influence forming quality.The principle of electromagnetic forming was introduced and the relation between the distribution of electromagnetic pressure and the configuration of the coil was also analyzed.The spatial distribution of forming pressure in electromagnetic forming could be controlled by the configuration of the coil.It is important that the EM pressure distribution is appropriate for the part that one would wish to form when the coil is designed.Coils were distinguished and expatiated based on their configurations,and their typical applications were presented by demonstrations.
