Abstract:
The isothermal forming process of 2618 Al-alloy was simulated on the Gleeble-1500 thermal-mechanical simulator.The influence of the processing parameters(deformation temperature T,strain rate ε and deformation degree ε) on grain sizes was studied by the orthogonal test,and the optimal processing parameters,T=430 ℃,ε=8×10-3 s-1 and ε=40%,were determined,which were used to carry out isothermal forming.The microscopic examination indicates that the grain sizes of obtained forging are fine and uniform.
