Abstract:
An 8-node hexahedral element finite element dynamic explicit program,combining one-point integration with viscosity damping hourglass control algorithm,was developed for studying the material flowing deformation in ironing process.Such hourglass control method effectively suppressed the spurious modes activated by reduced integration,and saved too much calculation time.Meanwhile,the multiple layers meshes along thickness direction,3D constitutive law and double sides contact algorithm could accurately describe distribution of stress and strain.Finally,example of ironing process simulation of thick cylinder part shows this solid element valid by comparing with experimental results.
