Abstract:
Regarding to forged excess metal resulting in machining problem for steam turbine blades,no excess metal forging process was brought up through analyzing the characteristic of forging excess metal.It has been found that it is feasible to connect the root(or snub) split plane to the profile split plane with transition plane,instead of initial forging excess metal.With this new process,it may save material,raise productivity effectively,reduce the manufacturing cost,promote forging technical progress and offer a reference for the development of other forging process with excess metal.
