Abstract:
The forming technology of spline and gear of pinion,which both had gear and spline was analyzed.The technology of cold extrusion was used to save cost and form successfully.Also,the die of spline direct extrusion combined with gear indirect extrusion was designed.The research result shows that the process of cold extrusion is feasible in pinion forming,the design of dies is reasonable,the fine shape of spline and gear can be gained as well as good surface quality,and the material cost,the auxiliary time and the production cost are reduced.
