Abstract:
The hot forming process of railway wheel was simulated by the commercial software MSC/ Superform.Metal flow pattern was analyzed by the particle tracking method.Original places in billet of metal particles which formed the wheel were gained.Metal particles in back and front forging plate sides were from up and down billet corner place.Metal particles in billet columniation surface flowed into wheel web in circular direction.Metal particles in the center of wheel plate and web were from billet middle part along diameter direction.Metal particles in wheel hub center were from billet inner circle part along diameter direction.Billet axes center part formed wheel block.The result of numerical simulation is agreed with the physical simulation.
