Abstract:

The forming technical process of tailor welded square boxes is very complex and affects part quality,so it is the key to obtain optimized forming processing parameter.CAE can aid engineers to optimize the process conditions,but it also depends on the experience of the designer and only the reasonable not the best process parameters can be got.An L16(43)experimental matrix was designed based on Taguchi method to analyze the processing parameter's effect on forming depth and welding seams movement.The result shows that both of the optimization technology can enhance the depth and reduce the weld line movement,therefore improve the quality of tailor welded square boxes.
