Abstract:
Squeeze roll of large podgy shape forged by whole forging process is a key part of roller press,which shape is short & crude and forging penetration effect is worse.Voids,an important factor resulting in eligibility rate lower, must be avoided.Using the simulation software Deform-3D,the first process of the two times upsetting and stretching was validated theoretically used in forging RP170-110 squeeze roll.Simulation results of WHF-stretching and FM- stretching after upsetting show that using the first of the two times upsetting and stretching—upsetting+WHF-stretc- hing,the enough compression stress appeared not only eliminate most voids at recrystallization temperature,but also obtain better forging penetration.Eight trial products are all up to the grade also proves the rationalization of the technical process.
