Abstract:

Rigid-viscoplastic finite element method was used to analyze the warm extrusion processing parameters of spur gear in thermal-mechanical coupled way.Some groups of numerical models were built with different design param- eters of die,geometric parameters of gear,friction conditions or processing conditions,and the service loads were in- vestigated.From the investigation,the conclusions are drawn as follows:reducing the half-cone-angle of female die, the load becomes smaller;reducing modulus of gear and number of teeth,the load falls down,and the influence of modulus on the load is remarkable.Reducing the friction coefficient,the load is less)with the initial temperature of workpiece and die being increased,the load falls down,and the influence of initial temperature of workpiece on the load is notable.While the extrusion speeding has no obvious influence on the load.Based on the Archard model,the wear condition of female die was simulated.The results show that wear is centralized on deformation zone and wear on the top end of gear shaped die is serious.
