Abstract:
The euality of cold working die has a direct influence on that of the product. The production cost and economic efficiency depend on the die life. There are many kinds of the die failures because of the failure modes. The failure reason of some basic die failures was analyzed and the failure preventing methods was given based on practical production experience. It is proved that the methods are of great reference value to production. So the life of the used cold working dies is greatly improved. For example, the life of the extrusion convex die is reached to 60000 pieces/case or more, the life of the extrusion concave die is reached to 40000 pieces/case and the life of the cold upset die is about 100000 pieces/case.The economic benefit is notably increased.
