Abstract:
The hot rolling process for Zr-alloys was investigated.Cladding outer cover oxygen partition protection,multi working passes and lower rolling rate were used to roll the alloys.Three different ways including copper cover,seam of steel bushing,vacuum seam of steel bushing were respectively applied to three groups of alloys to avoid Zr-alloy's oxidation.Microstructure and mechanical properties after hot rolling were compared and analyzed.The results show that choosing appropriate process technique can successfully avoid oxidation and the alloy's thickness can get to 1.0 mm.After hot rolling,the Zr-alloys exhibit fine and uniform microstructure and good mechanical properties.
