Abstract:

The die design of flow control forming of sheet metal and the calculating method of billets suitable for this kind of technology were studied,taking the electromagnetic coil hoods of vehicle air-conditioner as a research object.Process test and trial batch production show that the process flow of flow control forming of sheet metal is the shortest compared with the traditional cold extrusion,and hot forging plus machining etc.Its forming load is only 1/5 of that of cold extrusion,the efficiency is increased by 5 times,and the calculating method of billets is accurate nearly to 100%.The quality targets of the formed hoods,such as dimensional tolerance,form and position tolerance etc.meet the needs of import parts,and the qualification rate can achieve 99.8%.This technology has been used in many plants producing vehicle air-conditioner successfully.
