Abstract:
The contact and friction behavior between aluminum alloy sheet and die surface in warm forming is very complicated.Friction status varies in different contact areas. The researches on tribotest for sheet metal forming were introduced.A new friction coefficient measurement device was developed to measure the friction coefficient at drawbead in aluminum alloy sheet warm forming. The feature of the measuring device was that the real forming process of the sheet metal could be modeled during the measurement. The aluminum alloy sheet sample with wedge-shaped edge was adopted to get the circumferential compressive stress exerted by the cuneal groove.A number of heating rods and the temperature control were adopted to simulate the temperature of warm forming. Therefore, more accurate results could be obtained.
