Abstract:
The influence of hot pressing sinter process(HPS)on room temperature magnetic refrigeration properties of GdSiGeDy serial alloys was studied.GdSiGeDy powder was made by mechanical alloying method.Sinter temperature,sinter time and heat rate of HPS were investigated.The magnetic entropy change(MEC)curves were made after VSM test.The conclusion is that the heat rate has a greater influence on MCE.The value of MEC increases with the decrease of heat rate.The value of MEC increases firstly,and then decreases with the increase of sinter temperature and ferromagnetism lost when temperature reaches 1050 ℃
