Abstract:
Equal channel angular pressing(ECAP) is a new technology for obtaining ultra-fine grain materials.Choice of technologic route will greatly affect the uniformity of the strain distribution of workpiece.Non-linear finite-element software MSC.Marc was employed to simulate equal channel angular pressing(ECAP) process of multiple passes.The distributing rules of equivalent effective strain after six passes in route A and route C were obtained.The results show that equivalent effective strain of workpiece in route C is more homogeneous than that in route A,but cumulate equivalent effective strain of workpiece end in route C is not as good as that in route A.The maximum load of per pass is increased gradually and it is basically almost the same in route A and in route C.
