Abstract:
The generation of a mesh for a three-dimensional object can be divided into two stages: The first one is the subdivision of the object into some simpler subregions,the second is the generation of the mesh for each subregion.It is likely that the obtained mesh is not valid and compatible because the edge division numbers specified by the user don't satisfy both with the subregion constraints and the compatibility constraints.Thus,some modifications to these numbers have to be made.In this paper,the compatible mesh is obtained by minimizing the changes of these numbers by integer programming.The example indicates that the method is feasible.
