Abstract:
A solid geometry model of porthole die is built up by Pro/E.Nnumerical simulation of the porthole die extrusion of lacunaris panel is made using the forging software.The load-stroke curve can also be obtained,which is the basic information for selecting the press.The stress fields and strain fields at every step can clearly be displayed,which is a new way to study the relation between the die structure and the metal flow.It can be guided for development of this kind of product processing and die design.
