Abstract:
The latest achievements achieved in the intelligent deep-drawing process are summarized and the intelligent control architecture for blank holder force control is demonstrated in detail. A concept of virtual processing is also introduced to realize the whole adaptive system because of the relatively slow response of the deep-drawing equipment. A database consisting of several variables of the symmetric circular-cup deep-drawing process is set up under various dimensions of mould and blank, material properties and ambient conditions. Furthermore, an approach to apply it to the VBHF adaptive deep-drawing control process for parts with complex shape is put forward.
