Abstract：

Main functions and a development process of a PDM system for die & mould enterprises have been presented. The main functions include login function, documents management function, projects management function, personal files management function, code management function and personnel management function. The PDM system structure and its data storing method are reasonable. The PDM system can be applied simply and successfully for die & mould enterprises to manage their product data.
