Abstract:
In these experiments we will carry out some three-dimensional dynamic simulations by using cylinder blanks of various ratio of height to diameter(L/D)with finite element software DEFORM, analyze the conclusion gained by using different dies during upsetting processes of cylinder blanks, so we will deduce some upsetting instructions which based on the quality improvement of workpiece. Then it is testified to be rationality through the umbrella gear's forming.
