Abstract:

Magnesium alloy is an ideal structural metal material with many excellent characteristics.In order to avoid the vibration failure caused by large mass when developing a kind of sighting telescope,MB2 Magnesium alloy is finally decided as the billet material to be forged after fully evaluating.Therefore,researching on the technique of forging MB2 Magnesium alloy is carried out.The perpendicular experiment method is used in this research.Each of the main three factors such as,holding time of furnace temperature,forging machine clamp temperature and forging time are designed to three levels and so nine experiments are carried out.Forging flow line of the billet is observed with the low powered microscope.It demonstrates that holding the billet forging temperature is the key to forging quality,which can be achieved by many means such as,shortening the forging time,increasing the clamp temperature and so on.The optimal processing parameters of MB2 Magnesium alloy forged on the general forging machine are determined after a series of subsequent optimizing experiment.
