Abstract:
This paper utilizes the Finite Volume Method to simulate cold extrusion process for compressed aerofoil parts. The purpose of the study is to reveal the forming regulation which contributes to the improvement of design. It studies the flow characteristics of the forming metal particles, analyzes the stress and strain of the metal. The research summarizes the deformation degree and areas transform regulations of a compressed aerofoil part in the extrusion process. And it also points out that the uneven deformation is a basic feature in the process. According to the analysis results of stress and strain, it predicts the possible flaw of the parts. Related experiments are also given in this paper.
