Abstract:
The rheology performance of AZ31 magnesium alloy under different temperature ranges and at different forming rates is explored in the experiments using Gleeble1500 thermo-simulator. Through the experiment, the relation formula of real stress , real strain and the curve of stress and strain are achieved. Based on this, using DEFORM-3D software, the simulation of tube forming process of different wall thickness are carried out. It is found that the metal flow of the inner wall is faster than that of the outer wall during the tube extrusion and the equivalent strain value is the biggest at transition place from the extruded section to taper face. The correctness of simulating analysis is verified by analyzing the reason and through the process experiment.
