Abstract:

Electromagnetic forming is applied to the powder material compaction,and Cu powder is compacted with solenoid coil.The effects of the discharge voltage,compacting times and temperature on the relative densities of the compacted specimens are analyzed.The experimental results indicate that the relative density increases when improving the discharge voltage,increasing the discharge times and heating up the powder before compaction.To the points on the axis of the specimens,the farther they are to the center,the lower their relative densities are.And to the points in the radial direction,the farther they are to the center,the higher their relative densities are.
