Abstract:

A numerical simulation of the drawing process of vibration damping steel sheet(VDSS) is investigated by FE software, MSC.Marc. The description of contact boundary condition and material property is specially considered. The underlying formulation is based on Lagrangian elastoplastic materials model. Cauchy stress, plastic strain and slipping-off distribution in the workpiece during drawing process are given and the factors which influence the slipping-off are considered. Therefore the theoretical foundation can be provided for the design of forming process of VDSS.
