Abstract:

FE simulation using ABAQUS/Explicit was used to investigate the upper and lower limits of counter pressure in the hydromechanical deep drawing(HDD) with different sizes of stepped re\|entrant punch. At the same time, great attention are devoted to give the working zone of counter\|pressure as well as its variation characteristics Based on this, the rapture models for this forming process and the optimal loading paths are also discussed in this paper.
