Abstract：

This paper introduces the mechanism of the punching deformation of U\|shaped and variable section carlings, classifies and analyses the punching deformation reasons and trends of carlings. Accordingly it puts forward a series of the structure designs and measures for decreasing rebound of carling forming die.
