Abstract:
Warm-hot control forging process of automobile spline shaft is investigated by using physical simulation and numerical simulation. The hot deformation behavior of 40Cr steel is studied by a compression test at the conditions that the temperature is 850~1000℃,the maximum true strain is 0.7 and strain rate is 0.1~20 s~(-1).The best range of deformation parameters are predicted by using microstructural evolution model and FEM simulation.Finer grains are obtained by using the prediction result in the trial. The forging process is simplified, energy consumption is reduced and the product of high strength, hardness and good toughness is acquired by warm-hot control forging process.
