Abstract：

Using the Value Engineering theory method and the procedure steps,this thesis analyzes the function-cost of the roller machine in detail,and makes use of the object-selected principles and methods of the Value Engineering to the part whose function is unmatched with it's cost of the roller machine to find out the objects to be improved,and put forward the new improvement project.The improvement lowers the cost,facilitates the regulating operation,keeps the shell rib being regulated in coordination with roll adjustment,realizes the necessary function of the customer,and increases the value of the product.According to the Value Engineering practice of improving roller machine,the point of the Value Engineering cycle activity is put forward at the end of the thesis.
